The history tab is the second tab that is found in the student’s report. The information that is presented is according to the reporting period that is set. Each column can be filtered so that the information that is in the column is in ascending or descending order. This is done by clicking on the arrow beside the title of the section. For instance, the date column has been filtered in this photo. 


  • The topic and learning objective is found on the left-hand column

  • The type of lesson that was carried out is beside it. Students can do an exercise or a test, a focused exercise or focused test (if topic focus has been set for the student, then this will appear) and replay mode.

  • The date that the exercise was completed is shown 

  • How long the exercise took is shown 

  • How many ‘helps’ they received during that task is shown

  • The mark that the student received is shown

  • If you would like to view the exercise that the student carried out, then click on the play button under ‘view’.

  • If a student jumps an exercise, this icon will appear in the left-hand column, beside the name of the topic.  

  • If the student does not complete a lesson, this icon    will appear in the left-hand column, beside the name of the topic. When students resume an exercise they have not completed in Tutor, they can continue from the question number they were on. However, for a test or topic challenge exercise, they will need to repeat the test or challenge to ensure full understanding and correct assessment is reached.
